I know this is just my second post here, but I see there are a lot of folks with questions that I might be able to help answer.
first a little background
I'm 31 and have been skating since I was 12, I have been screen printing professionally in big shops, (doing prints for major colleges and sports teams style) for over 6 years, and running my own comapny doing shirts and stickers for over 2 years...
I have tried every ghetto method of printing known to man and got my start printing by doing shirts for my bands and then I got more into the art of printing and got started in the shops...
my little comapny currently prints mainly for touring bands and lables, but we do about 4 different skate companies along with all the shop printing for the skatepark of austin...
if anyone has any questions about doing shirts, and stickers please feel free to email me and I'll do my best to get back to you a soon as I can.
I am not going to post a link to my website. I am not just here to promote my shyte, but to actually help out a part of the skate community.... my way of giving back to the scene tht has given me so much
so go out and skate |

It's amazing how two people can live an almost identical life far away from each other

I've done about 8 years in the big shops

I've done various home based printing companies for many years. It's always better to print for yourself.

That is the exact same way I got into it. When I was 14 I wanted to find a way to make my own skate and punk shirts and sell them to my friends. 17 years later I'm still doing the same thing.

I do a lot of bands in my area and I'm just starting to go full swing into stickers. No skate companies as of yet.
Hey I'd just like to welcome you to the forum! If you could PM or email me your web address, I'd like to check your stuff out. I've found that there are a lot of people around here who appriciate quality screenprinting, so you should fit right it.

Nah, I'm up in Western Canada. Send me your link or post it. There's nothing wrong with a little shameless self promotion.

I'm in eastern Pa. self taught ( that means I dont do it right) silkscreener.
in this part of Pa I have to turn work away big time ( I don't do it for a living). If western Pa. is anything like here you should do really well. I wish some one cool would open up a shop in this area and let me learn from them. |

How does this look for a beginner? Price wise and material wise. Best price I've found so far and it seems to have enough shit to get the hang of things except for a light. Which I have...one of those yellow and black work lights.
Thanks alot,
Dave. |
