I just bought a blank deck that I'm going adorn with my own graphics, the deck will be clear coated after I paint the graphics on, what would be the best kind (easiest to work with, most forgiving, & stable) of paint to use? Acrylic? Enamel? Oil? What have you used with reasonable success? I'm going to put alot of time into this deck, the paint has to be able to withstand the clear coat enamel without running. |

i used nitro-based colors back in the day for that.they are very sandable and very thin per layer.nowadays i would defintely go for acrylic colors.
if you do that by hand, don't forget your filler as a first thing(i'm talking about clear filler). |
