Dr. Hoggly Woggly's Tyler Texas BBQ in the valley of San Frenando in L.A. is the best BBQ I have had at a restaurant. Sonny Bryant's is over rated. |

Got pretty hammered at the Salt Lick outside of Austin. Bring your own beer, chow down and pass out. |

I'm backing Green Monkey on the Lil' Porky's. I've never eaten Po'Boys so next time you're in town Steve, we'll go and check it out.
17th Street Bar and grill in Murphysboro IL is some of the best BBQ ever. They've won all kinds of awards...trophies stand 6 foot tall in that joint. Their ribs are the bomb. I hear they're opening a couple of locations in NYC which is ridiculous...I heard they had to get special permits to run their smoker in the city. |

Fri & Sat. nights there's a guy that sets up a tent on the side of the road (corner of Old Cutler & Alapattah) He's been there since the early 80's and everyone in Goulds knows him. The side of his truck says "Big Truck What Up" so that's what we call his BBQ. If you're ever in South Miami come on down to Goulds and check it out. |

Jocko's in Nipomo, CA. I've only eaten there once, without a doubt the best steak I've ever had. Come to mention it, everyone I've ever met who's eaten there says the same - Large Spencer: Huge Ribeye. The place is a dive which ads even more to the charm. Other good places on the Central Coast: Firestone Grill and Old Country Deli, both in San Luis Obispo. And yeah, they're totally different from Southern Style BBQ, so lets not start a fight. |

I've only been there twice, but it was the best steak I've ever had. Next time i head up to Pismo, I will be stopping in there for sure. |
