@xrudox,
The Mudhoney split is with Jimmie Dale Gilmore.

Green River (speaking of Mudhoney), also did a fantastic version of "Ain't Nothin' To Do"

Probably not the best but always entertaining covers of 80's pop hits...

7 Seconds - 99 Red Balloons (Nena)
and
Gang Green - Voices Carry (Til Tuesday)

Man I gotta say, Snapcase covering other people's songs is a travesty. Darryl fucking butchered Janes Addiction and DEVO songs on their last record.
My favorites:
Tesco Vee and the Hate Police covering that Smith's song ( I forget the name) on the "the world still won't listen" record.

Killdozer doing EMF's "Unbelievable."

Arcwelder doing Prince's song "Time"

Tar doing Jawbox's "Static"

Jawbox doing "Sound on Sound" by the Big Boys

Oh, and I forgot the immortal stylings of Dread Zepplin. Their cover of "stairway to heaven" is great.

I forgot all about that, great song.

How about Little Max's rendition of "Satisfaction" in Hokus Pokus?

One of my local radio stations has taken to playing Kenny Wayne Shepard's cover of Voodoo Chile a lot lately, and it rocks the house with authority.
