I really like my 97X's, but yes, just a bit slower on smooth park concrete. |

Tried dragons and x97 in 52mm. Did not like the dragons at all. Too slow and slippery. The x97 wheel is nice on rough and fast on smooth. Really like ‘em. |

OJ's felt like the reverse of the Dragons, for everything the Dragons did right, OJ's did wrong. This was one of the older guys around my age (46), He said the OJ Double Duro wheels rode like a hard wheel but felt like wheel flexed around the bearings.
Sad they are still trying to sell these and now with Russel’s name ?!?
Ricta Air cores were like that too, slow as shit.
Proof that Santa Cruz doesn’t have anyone with any engineering knowledge on staff or at least anyone that ever read anything about tires and rolling resistance.
Glad they are still doing the Cruz Missile concave though
They are not doing a Cruz Missile Concave at all.
They are doing a crappy flat concave/mold they call that. |

I wonder if those great wheels from the past might contain something considered hazardous today and cannot be re-created. |
