I could not find a good topic under collectors so I will ask here.
I have a few collector decks that are fully sealed in shrink wrap from the 80's. I wanted to hang them vertical on my wall and use the truck holes to support it. If I make 2 small holes in the shrink wrap will this lower the value? If yes I have a deck wall hangar that holds decks with slots and can just use this. I just prefer to vertical mount method but not at the cost of losing value.
I also heard you can get shrink wrap added to decks and my next question is will this also lower the value? I mean how would anyone know what shrink wrap is original or not.
I hope both of these questions make sense and I can get some good feedback as this will help everyone.
Thanks |

Take them out and let them breath.
Colors look better.
But from my memory of skate shops in the 80's i never saw a deck in shrink wrap. |

100% Just take them out and enjoy them!
Most collectors will agree that they aren’t really fussed about shrink or not. When buying high end collectible decks it’s better to be able to see exactly what you’re buying without the guess work of what’s happening under the shrink. |
