I have a set of the G&S Chromoly trucks with the plastic base plates and after 30+ years the pivot cups crumbled apart.
Like everything about these trucks they were a proprietary design so fairly impossible to find and would also be 30+ years old too.
Was wondering if anyone else found a decent replecement. I'm using Indy pivot cups now but they don't quite fill the baseplate pocket so the axle's pivot point shifts around a bit. I ride loose trucks but it's a bit too sketch.
Thanks in advance for any help! |

I thought about trying to make them with 3M window urethane like the car guys do with motor mounts. Kind of expensive to buy that giant tube to make such little things. Lathe them out of delrin?
Make some and sell them |

Those dudes may be able to make a custom order if you supply the specs. If you have access to a lathe you could make your own from some polyurethane or machine down a large bottom bushing. |

Oh yeah, need to add - those G&S trucks were the best for slappies and sparks! I loved their grind but hated that the kingpin would snap and couldn't be removed from the baseplate. I gave up on them after two pairs. |

I tried this the other day to fix old gullwing. The pivot bushing was totally gone and I probably rode them for years like that damaging the pin on the hanger. I built the pin back up with JB weld (2 part epoxy). I haven't ridden them yet, but it should work. |

Hot glue gun -- fill the pivot cup, plunge the pivot arm into it and let it set-up. Works not bad at all. |
