Dug out my old board for my kids to play with.
Put in some new redz bearings.
Might strip and paint the trucks this weekend.
Anyone have info on this deck. Late 80’s but I can’t remember exactly when I got it. Gullwing trucks, G-Bones, kicked nose
Any info would be appreciated, I can’t find these colors or many old school McGills with this shape and kicked nose.
Thx

Powell went from dip's to stains and kick nose around 89.
Thats a full size McGill. Looks to be in decent shape. Powell are selling for high amounts lately, so might want to at least set the deck aside.
The wheels may fetch about 70 on ebay. Trucks probably not much in that condition. |

Thinking of refinishing the trucks.
Repaint black or clean up and leave bare? |

Have NOS yellow Short Ribs and Tailbone on the way.
Just need the yellow nose bone to restore this to original. |

Black Diamond grip tape cleaner would make a huge difference...works killer.
That's a wall hanger. |

Ordered the Black Diamond cleaner.
Having fun finding the NOS parts for this board.
Guess at this point I’ll stop my kids from rocking it around the cul-de-sac. |

Be careful it might set off a collection addiction haha
Definitely best to hang that one and maybe grab a reissue for them to skate. Powell reissues generally have old school bolt pattern for the trucks, so you could re-use your old trucks on one. |

I’m going to clean up the grip tape as suggested, replace the missing parts and maybe hang it on the wall complete.
Anyone have a yellow NOS nose bone?
Also which reissue is closest to the shape of this deck? I really like the kicked nose.
Thanks |

The Powell peralta Nicky Guerrero mask reissue is pretty close to that shape for a rider |
