I was digging through my shed and found an 80's Valterra "Back to the future" griptape image board. It hasn't seen the light of day in 30 years and was pretty grubby. I gave it a quick clean and it's in good shape, including the hardware, but the screws and nuts are rusty.
I know I can get it apart and clean everything up, but I was wondering if I should. I would hate to take it all apart and clean it right up and then have someone tell me that I should have left it alone.

Normally I lean towards cleaning it all up, but in this case I like it the way it is in the picture.
BTW, if you copy the Direct link offered by Imgur, paste it here and add the [img] tags here, we don't have to go to another site to see the image you posted via one of the other formats they offer. |

Thanks. That's what I was thinking. If it was just an old board I would clean it up and give it away, but this one looks pretty nice just the way it is. Shiny screws and nuts are not how I remember it.
Thanks for the tip on the image.
I never noticed the license plate on the car until now. |
