So I have followed Andy Anderson for awhile now. I was watching 9ne of his videos the other day and it hit me....Andy.....Andy Anderson......Andrew.....holy shit! That's fucking little Andrew Anderson! I sponsored that kid when he was like 8 years old! So I hit him up on IG and asked if he came to the island years ago with his dad on a park tour. He said he had, I told him I think I hooked you up with decks and shirts and shit!?
"Ego Skates perhaps?"
Yes sir!
"Oh my god! I've been looking for you. You are my first sponsor and taught me a lot!"
That kid was more stoked to have found me then I was to have found him. Started sending me pics of his dad, Paul, and pics of us together.

I wonder if Jim Gray ever shut up long enough in his podcast "interview" for Andy Anderson to tell his first sponsor story?
I couldn't listen more than the first 15 minutes because Jim wouldn't stop talking about himself or bashing the Nine Club long enough for the poor kid to get a word in.
Andy seems like a good egg and he's a ripping freak of nature on a skateboard. |

Oh, interesting. Didn't know there was this podcast. I may have to have a listen.
He's a super good kid. His father is a gentleman and stand up father and great person Andy is a reflection of that. |
