I love the Ramones and was lucky enough to see them a couple of times. Saw Marky years later doing a tour with the Spazzys and Hard ons in Oz. Was definitely cashing in. Left a bad taste in the mouth after looking forward to it for a long time. Been to Sham 69 a couple of months before and Tim V was smashing it, getting beer thrown all over him and the crowd loving it. One beer thrown at Marky and he stopped the show and demanded to know who threw it like he was royalty and should be treated better. Was sad as fuck, nothing punk about it |

I was back stage at a Ramones show way back in the day—like 1980, with the opening act.
The Ramones had cases and cases of saki back stage.
Before they went on, they were all in a hallway, putting one foot up on the wall and leaning into it—some kind of bizarre pre-show stretch? I dunno. It wasn't vigorous or anything.
Almost as weird as Henry Rollins pre-show deconstructed Peanut butter sandwich ritual.
The Ramones were so fucking good that night, it was mind blowing how they rocked that arena. |

Yeah , I’d give her one.
That’s it though......I couldn’t put up with her after that.
She got ‘control’ issues.🔨⛓ |
