Hey SnB,
I'm going to be in Austin in March for SXSW. Looking for recommendations on skate shops and parks.
Not sure if I'll be taking my board and pads as time will be limited but want to know what is there.

Not skating, but for night-life entertainment there is the Austin City Limits which has many forms (TV Show, Festival, Radio, Venue) but in general is live-music oriented.
Near you there is the Sydney City Limits Music Festival, which you may be familiar with, as ACL is affiliated with it.

Music and art central. So many good players in Austin and in a wide variety of styles from blues to hard rock to country and punk rock and everything in between.
I know there's some parks there but my knowledge of that is limited to the brief clips they show of the skateparks at the start of Austin City Limits (which is an awesome series). |
