Love it, my hero. The Mighty Phillips. Glad he is looking so well and as cognitively sharp as ever. So many of his generation are dropping like flies. We lost Gary Burden recently. An artist/photographer from Jim's generation who made some of the iconic album covers in LA/SF in the 60's/70's. He never worked in skateboard art but some of his photography has featured on decks. Killing Floor recently used his 'On the Beach' photo on a deck. Jim Phillips is a bridge between 60's psychedelia and 80's skate/pop/punk art. I'm so pleased he is still involved and inspiring. His artwork is timeless, I can show my 8 year old son a Jim Phillips graphic and it ignites his imagination and dopamine release just as much as it did mine when I was 10 year old.
Thanks for posting man!!!!!!! |

Great clip, just wish it was longer. I'm hoping they do more of these vids. |
