Seems like things are slowly quieting down. Maybe it's just the regular ebb and flow of a forum, but I miss the days of logging on and having 2 pages of new threads to sift through each morning. I don't post a ton, but I always enjoy reading what people have to say about skating and stuff (good, bad and ugly).
I noticed the oldkookskating forum shut down recently, I was an occasional reader there as well. They now have a note that says 'It's been a great ride! See you on FB!'.
I'm sure plenty of people still visit the forum without logging in, but are they now posting on FB/elsewhere? I need more skate news and info.

It always slows down for a few weeks at this time of the year with the 4th of July approaching—people are busy and preparing for the holiday weekend... and then the recovery from it. LOL!
That said, facekook is having a negative effect on the forum—and its also sucking in terms of it loading slow and long weekend effect.

I've had the same experiences. Make sure your browser is updated, it helps. We're also working on a solution for that but trying to figure out how to fund it. |
