And ripping off bindings to create a flexy longboard? I'm thinking of doing it just for shits & giggles.

My old 1991 G&S is outdated and obsolete, and not sure why I still have it around. I have some Tracker Sixtracs and Abec 11 65mm No Skools laying around, and just need tall risers and mounting hardware.

If anyone has done this before and has any tips, recommendations, wish you would have done this instead ideas, let me know. And I'd love to see pictures of your setups.

It may be outdated and obsolete but it's still collectable, you should throw it up on one of the snowboard sites and see what you can get for it. If it ends up being low value then by all means drill away but it could be someones grail, you never know. I have no idea of the value though, sorry. Perhaps someone else will chime in. Theres a snowboard values group on facebook.

I use to have a snowboard set up with trucks & shit, was fun to cruise around on but the board was totally thrashed and absolutley worthless before it was converted to a skateboard. If the board isn't too thrashed I might be into it if you wanted to do a trade for a skateboard.

I think it'll be too flexy. Try it with an old timely water ski

Well SCS, now you got me going, cause I'm the kind of guy who would help with a grail if I could. Fortunately, I don't have a Facebook account.

Flexy it would be...much more than my 57" Ed Economy Surf Rider. And...got an urge to mount shag carpet instead of griptape. How's that for lame, Slob?

I did it probably 20 some odd years ago. I left the bindings on it and we'd take turns towing each other behind a bike with a long bungee cord or a rope like a wakeboard. Was hella fun, but super sketchy when you're strapped into the bindings and eat shit!

Mount the trucks right under the binding area, especially if you leave the bindings on. As just a longboard cruiser with no bindings....I agree that it will probably be too flexy.

If you do it, have fun......and stock up on hydrogen peroxide and bandages.

Did this too, and it worked really well. Made for pretty fun skinny longboard.

LEDs underneath to light up the roadway at night sounds like another idea. The bindings are definitely getting pitched.

Going through a major purge. Wife left me last year, and now that she's demanding 1/2 of everything and I'll most likely have to sell the house and move. I don't need/want the snowboard anymore, but if it were transformed into a crazy skateboard I won't want to purge it.
