Just saw some "new" hosois on insta and they appear to have been made to look skated?
Is this a new thing in the reissue world?
It seems really fucked up to me |

That's old. They were imaged with an image of one of Hosoi's old boards he rode and actually looked pretty cool in person. It was a 25th Anniversary thing for Hosoi and the deck they shot for the graphic was one he competed with and mofo had got a great shot of Hosoi riding. I think it was on a Thrasher cover.

There is also a Public Domain Vallely Elephant reissue designed to look like the one ridden in the movie...
