I've been driving up and down I-25 in New Mexico a lot to visit my father in El Paso. He's only been given a couple months to live so I get down there every chance I get. I drive past all the ditches in Albuquerque and always crane my neck to see if they are dry, anyone in them. Socorro is an hour south of Albuquerque on I-25. Just north of town is this monster. I took this pic of the west side of the ditch. It passes right under I-25. I'm guessing that the walls are 15 feet tall. The east side of the ditch is 3-4 times as long as the west. Google maps has a good pic of it.

I'm sorry about your dad, but it's a good thing you're able to see him. Ditches are definitely a bonus. |

I REALLY need to make another trip to New Mexico—those ditches are fucking awesome!!
Glad I don't live there though—I'd be riding Indian school from dawn to dusk everyday! |

Its a fun ditch, but always a bit dirty. Bring your bros and some brooms and carve out a path. It is flatter than a lot of the ABQ ditches. |

If you look at the east side of the ditch on Google maps you'll see it's full of dirt/rocks. When I went by last weekend I looked at it as I drove by and they've cleaned out the east side. |

STIHL BG-86 leaf blower with a modified tube to bring it up to 300kmh at the nozzle works REAL well for that. Beats the hell out of sweeping. |
