I'm getting a few boards to play around with just now. I heard nick and maybe a few others say they use speedball because it's a lot easier.

Was it this ink... http://www.dickblick.com/zz432/17/pro...aram=0&ig_id=1688

If not could you refer me to the right stuff.

thanks anyone

Yeah, thats the stuff. You will love it because of its ease of use. You will hate it because its dull and over all finish is different from every other ink. Actually I will sell you what i have left. I have Black, Clear, white, and red. These are 3/4 full still. Let me know if you are interested.

Hey Nick, I use Nazdar 2700. Water based permanent high gloss acrylic. Dries with a nice high gloss. Easy cleanup. No solvent based messes and smells. Good stuff. I'm very happy with it.

Sounds like a magic ink, haha. water based and glossy? WOW. Like a mericle pill that not only cures cancer, aids, the common cold, male pattern baldness, and gives 72 hours worth of wood. hahahaha. Please let us know where to get this, sounds great. I have seen your decks too, the prints are nice! I imagine that the water based inks clean with soap and water...? What about emulsion? fotocoat tz?

No joke. They're glossy. I didn't think they would be myself but they are. No having to laquer over your print and worry about them smearing. The 9700 ink is probably better, but I just am not a fan of all the mess and cleanup. I use a hose to clean the screens. if there's any left, I use Nazdar screenwash. I get it all from http://www.nazdar.com. The ink is good. It's nothing like speedball waterbase ink. It's a lot thinner. I use a 220 monofilament screen with it. I could use up to a 300 count if I want to, and very may well do that sometime soon. One thing to remember with this ink is get some retarder when you order it. It dries in the screen quicklike! Retarder helps 100%. If you're not happy with the 9700, I'd try the 2700. Ideally, we should be using the 59000 enamel ink, but I can only imagine what kind of mess and smell that'd be making!
