I need help identifying an old deck. I bought this deck used off a guy back in 1990/91 and skated it at the time for a few years then retired it. It never had a graphic on the bottom and under the grip tape on the top near the back truck mount holes there is a “&” logo branded into the wood. When I bought the deck it was a matted white color and has since faded. Any help identifying this deck would be much appreciated.

yup. he speaks truth.

G&S.. from around late 91 thru 92
(late 91 was when they went to the ampersand logo, but by 93 they were pushing pops)

It was probably a slick at one time, and the previous owner peeled it off.

looks to still be a (dirty) white slick bottom G&S which means you can clean it.

Thanks so much for all your information! I was told a long time ago that it may have been a “Slick” bottomed deck because of the no graphics and strange matt white finished bottom. Any ideas what G&S called this model deck?

You can compare the shape and maybe guess at a match if that's interesting to you. It's not worth anything if that's what you're hoping.
