According to the Charles River Conservancy website, the ground breaking ceremony for the Lynch Family Skatepark (aka. the long awaited Charles River Skatepark) will be at 9:00 AM on Thursday, October 23rd. Hosted in partnership with the Department of Conservation and Recreation, this event is open to the public and will include light refreshments. Click here for location info
Steve van Doren of Vans will attend, as well as elected officials. For more information, visit the Charles River Conservancy website.

Any further progress on the Charles River Skatepark? I'm gonna be in Boston for a weekend at the end of May. |

The ground breaking was strictly ceremonial - they won't actually break ground until the spring and so probably won't be finished until mid-to-late summer or even early fall.
If you come to Boston - the place to hit is Rye Airfield. It's about an hour north of Boston. Wednesday's tend to be old-man's night.
You won't regret visiting. |
