My day has been shot to hell. I found a box full of 80s skate mags. I knew I had it out in the garage somewhere. Thrasher and Transsorlds from '83-89...and a few singles of mags like PowerEdge, Pool Dust, Concussion, etc.

Just finishing up Kon-Tiki by Thor Heyerdahl, great seafaring adventure

Good read right there^

I love all of Heyerdahl's books, but Aku Aku (about Easter Island) and Kon Tiki are my favorites.
I read Kon Tiki in the early 90's when I lived on Kauai and I read it again about a month ago.
I found a first edition on e-bay...I read Aku Aku also, great stuff.

I was counting the days till the movie opened, I had to drive up to L.A. to see it, it was really good.
One of the mates is a dead ringer for Andy on the Conan show. The movie definitely left out alot of details but still very good.

Edit: BTW, the entire movie was filmed scene for scene in Norwegian and English, the English version is currently playing in the U.S.

Picked up 3 books today. One by Raymond Queneau, one by Georges Bataille and one by Jean Baudrillard (all French authors, completely coincidental).

Hope they're good...

Just finished reading 'the good, the bad and me' by Eli Wallach
Damn good read I must say.
Fuckin hell, Sergio Leone knew how to treat actors back in the days.
Leaving a bottle of acid next to a bottle of soda that Eli was drinking and it's pretty funny how he able to just say 'well...accidents do happen' and that was the end of it!

And he didnt realise at first that he was classed as the 'ugly' When he played as Tuco in the good, the bad and the ugly!

Now got 'Make love the Bruce Campbell way' to read.

Love Bruce's writing. 'if chins could kill' was an amazing book.
Funny as fuck.
(if you have the Original version of The Evil Dead then listen to the Bruce audio commentary...it is fucking hilarious

Having a BA in English, I read a lot. Less now that I have kids, which is why I decided to go back to one of the classics that first sparked my interest in literature. I highly recommend this book. Entertaining, educational, and inspiring.
