Yesterday the Rijksmuseum (national heritage) finally reopened its doors for the public.
It took them a whole decade and a cool 375.000.000!! euros to rebuild and restore the place to its former glory. wtf.
Way to long and way to much but i have to say.. the result is amazing.
Rembrandt, van Dijck, van Gogh, Metsu, Asselijn, Breitner, Vermeer, Ruysdael, Israels, Steen, de Hooch, Hals, all there, it just never ends.
Besides all the other cool stuff we st.. ehh collected in the last 800 years or so.
Personal favorite; A pair of pistols, ca. 1665.. sweet.

And this pair..

Best excuse ever to come and visit Amsterdam, if you ever need one.

What's the story of the metal half pipe out front, or is it still there? I spent a couple weeks there in 2007 and walked by it everyday, didn't look very skateable. |

Nice..
Thinking about moving a little closer to the citycentre but nowadays you have to bring a shitload of cash to rent or buy anything decent.
It got even worse after the innercity was placed on the unesco list.
