We've been debating what to make foe Christmas dinner this year- there's still burned out from Thanksgiving turkey leftovers, so nobody wants that. Our daughter is a very picky eater, she doesn't want me to do a ham (but she likes ham sandwiches) and she WON'T do red meat.

So we're gonna do Cornish Game Hens.

No oven? Crock pot and a roast?

I'm a sucker for a roast. But no one ever makes on the holidays.

whore mouth cookies

So named because they’re the best goddamn cookies you’ll ever shove into your dirty little whore mouth.

1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, softened
1 package butter recipe yellow cake mix with pudding
2 large eggs
1 Tablespoon water
1 package almond brickle chips (I prefer to use 8 Heath bars that I smash up —that way there’s a little bit of chocolate in each bite)
1/2 to 1 cup chopped pecans

Beat butter at medium speed with a mixer until creamy; add cake mix, eggs, and water, beating until blended. Stir in brickle chips/toffee and pecans. Drop cookie dough by tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 350 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes or until edges are browned. (Top will look moist.)

I made these yesterday, pretty damn good!

Yep.
I was in the mood to make some cookies, but not in the mood to make what I had done before.

It yields the perfect size batch too. I kind of hate when I have way too many.

And I slow-cooked bbq pork for all meals besides "special ones" around Christmas (aka today lunch, etc).
