From my own transactions the NZ Postal Service is by far the best in the world.
I get things faster from NZ then I do from East Coast USA which is quite bizarre!
Italian postal system is notoriously dodgy.
Ive heard so many horror stories about it
The posties thinking 'balls, i have too much work on' and just leaving the post anywhere' or taking it home or just skipping it, plus the stories about the mob members taking anything international when the plane touches down.
he Italian thing goes way beyond what you might class as "Normal" postal problems which we may suffer here in the UK or in France or America etc. This is on par with sending to places like South Africa, Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Somalia, Russia, Georgia, Nigeria, and many other "High risk" areas.
It is probaly more common for your Italian-bound parcel to go missing as they know it can't be tracked & traced. Even more so if you send a parcel there which isn't via International Signed For delivery - You may as well stick a label on it saying "STEAL ME!", and to be honest its the same risk you take in the UK as well if you send any other way that isn't Recorded Delivery.
To a corrupt Italian postal worker, it's a blatent invitation to be stolen if it has no tracking barcode on it |

| I always use USPS. Normally AU or NZ are $55-65, depending on weight, etc, etc. |
