Hopefully gonna check out the new outdoor concrete park at Carrickergus after work, have a friend over from London who works for Wheelscape and he wants to take a look at it after his tender was refused by the local council. It's 15 miles from home and looks down on an old castle, it was petitioned mostly by BMX folk and has a sort of open horseshoe bowl apparently. Will bring my camera if we head up there. |

An Irishman I once worked with told me Ireland has 3 days without rain each year. Hope your visit to this park is one of them. |

Ha. We get a lot more than 3 days without rain here, as these photos prove. Brilliant weather for an after-work cruise around some new concrete
Street Overview
Open Bowl Scenario
Jay, Extension Rock
Jay, Vert Wall Rock
Thought I should get in on the action.
Not a bad park, maybe too much in it for the size as some obstacles get in the way. Great to have a new park near home though. That's only public park number 2 for N.Ireland in 20 years, and number 1 isn't even a year old! Here's to more. |
