It's an odd combo.
I can't seem to recollect the exact provenance of these trucks. I'm pretty sure I didn't buy any new skateboard gear after 1978/79.
1978 was my last year of seriously committed riding. At some point a neighborhood friend wanted a board and I sold him a Logan Earth Ski and with (sacrilege! knife in my fukking heart) the Tracker Midtracks and Green Kyptonics off my Alva. When the dust settled I was left with just my Alva/Park Rider 5s/and these Indys that made, in my eyes, a less than ideal but still ridable complete.
The Indy lineage post (http://www.skullandbonesskateboards.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=118665) shows Stage III trucks released in late 1983. Did I actually sell my gear off as late as 1983/84 and accept the Indys in trade as part of the deal? Did I take them in trade in an unrelated prior deal? Scratch Head*. I haven't smoked that much pot. Maybe with the aid of a hypnotist I can get to the bottom of this.
Question: Is October 1983 the definitive date when this base-plate was released?
Thanks for the replies and ID.
*And where is that new red Jay Adams Z-Flex that I lent out (and truth be told looked better than it rode) now? |

baseplate was made at the end of stage 2, so some stage 2s had it also, so it coulda been like 81-3 when the baseplate came out. |

Lovesgasoline- welcome to the forum.
You only have one Indy? I'm sure someone here can scrape up another one for you, if not, I'm sure plenty of others will be happy to buy it off of you, or do a nice trade....... there's lots of good people here. |

I've got a pair of the trucks. I've only owned one board for the past 30+ years, which I've been riding that entire time, and these are the trucks on it. They're a part of my personal history so I'm not looking to sell them.
The thread below has more info on the skateboard:
