i know what you mean, i'm always checking out brush strokes on acrylic and oil paint, peoples different ways of blending. and how thick the paint is.

just took it to be hanged last week, but here's a detail from the original pic i took (not to sharp).
Check out the second pic, it's a much better scan from another painting, you can tell more from it.

^^ that is awesome! Is that painted on a tiny wooden plaque?
the flames are really cool! It is weird how close they look, what reference did you use? I just googled up one. Is that acrylic or oil?

Googled, probably got the same picture you did. Ha ha.

It's a wood plaque. Quarter is there for reference of size. And it's acrylic.
I call it Proud Mary.
