I recently was contacted by Army Major Don "Lash" LaRue about doing a graphic for him. Now a 52 year old disabled war vet,he used to skate for Zorlac back in the 80's. He's going to donate all the proceeds of this board to the Wounded Warriors Project. 100 decks will be made, and if it does well, they will do another bigger run.

This graphic was based on a pic of him that was taken during the war...

Then..with Skatemaster Tate:

Now...still rippin'!

Thanks for lookin!

I think it looks really cool. Reminds me of the Black Label "Alive" decks. I can't wait to see it in color.

Unsolicited but the style reminds me of an actual military patch which is good straight honest illustration. I suggest going with making it look like a Army patch in subdued colors.

Or just blow it out in colors. Remember if you have less black work you can work up more detail in the colors as you build it up. It could be daunting but would be fun however it turns out.

Really like it. Agree with kray on the coloring opinion. Nice backstory and theme that way for sure. Great work and classy of ya.

Thanks guys! I've given them some ideas to work off of...I like the subdued colors myself for this. We'll just have to wait and see how it comes out. I can't wait!
