Anybody ever ride one of these? I'm curious to know what its like.
PS~ I'm asking in longboard forum because I think LBers may not pelt me with trash for asking. We have acess to a mountain trail and I've been tempted to buy a dirtboard for years and tear down it...

I'll wait for George, then.
Broken ankles? How come? More so than snowboarders? |

I do every once in awhile. It's fun but not really my bag. Ankles?....yeah those things are pretty heavy so if you sling em' around the wrong way there's plenty of potential for some gnarly injuries. |

Hi GC...
Sorry for not replying sooner, I have been outa circulation from the forums for a while and am just now catching up..
Hell. I didnt' even know they had a longboard section here
As for your question....My girlfriend and myself both ride MBS mountain boards, and we both think its a blast...
closer to skating than snowboarding, except for the terrain... wear lots of padding... hahaha...
The boards are real flexy which allows for a lot of shock absorbsion, and makes em feel like you are riding a cadallac..
Strickly hill riding, it isn't really something you can push around like a skate.. but once you find a nice hill or two, they add a cool new challenge.. riding over rocks, through bush's and small woodland creatures, is a little bit of "cultural shock" in a way...
Sorry for the double post... I also replyed in the "Im going to bet beaten for this"
