Right on man; cool story and one a lot of guys on here will relate to. Ignore the haters, shrug off the noob bullshit, and have a good time. Sounds like you and your bros back in the day had good taste in boards (post-Variflex).
The 80's were the WORST with all that "fear of evil" and seeing Satan everywhere crap. "Stix is a river in hell" - hilarious!

That was a good read. I will say that not one of us planned to get this crazy with our collections. I could post a link of the decks I have went through missing about 20-30 if you want to see madness from a small budget side. It took me 10 years to decide to trim all the fat and only keep the ones that have the most meaning. Good luck on your hunt. The X-2 was "reissued" by Black Label, The Jester was reissued as an X-Team Rider by Madrid, I think. Hope that helps. |

Awesome first post Lucero. Really enjoyed reading that and brought back memories. This is why we skate and collect in the first place.
Have fun skating with your son and getting back into it yourself. You'll be glad you did. |

Killer post and thats what this place is all about! You should save some cash for a bit and look for a NOS Lucero 1 for your wall! Thats all you need, but it's easy to get caught up in it all, next thing you know you have $3k hanging on walls, in boxes, in your office, hiding some for your wife, family and friends....cause they just don't get it |

I appreciate the feedback.
I did acquire two reissue: Lucero X2 and Grosso Blocks.
I guess the X1 OG will get cleaned up and hung in my kids room, and we can ride the reissues together instead.
I promised my wife that was it.......she was like "what the..." when she saw the paypal payments. She keeps sating im having a midlife crisis! haha
what have I gotten myself into? |
