BBQ season brings summer salads. Potato, bean, caesar, slaw ect ect.

What are your favourite summer salads?

I make a homemade 3 bean salad all the time as well as the ever present cole slaw and a potato salad with the odd variation like adding bacon or more hot mustard than usual. Another favorite is a simple black bean, corn, red onion, red pepper, avocado and cilantro salad. No dressing needed but some fresh lemon or lime squeezed over is killer too.

What are you guys into? I need some ideas.

Made a killer Ceaser the other day—standard ingredients but added more bacon, 3 kinds of cheese, extra fish and sun dried tomatoes.

Topped it with some marinated and grilled chicken breast.

Awesomeness.

I'm a salad fiend myself and I'm down with pretty much all of it except for jelly or jell-o type salads. That shit is just plain wrong.

I love a good salad.

Iceberg and tomato with garbanzo beans
cucumber salad
taco salad
caesar
cobb salad

There's a small chain in the Bay Area called Fresh Choice that I used to go to. Wish they had 'em down here. Way better than Souplantation.

I like and use this for salads:

Cucumber
Tomatoes
Romana
Iceberg
Shallots
(Red) Onions
Olives
Cheese

A drop of olive oil over it, a bit out off the pepper mill and a pinch of fleur de sel, done!

No dressing please, and, everything from the "traditionell" gardening. They sell cocktail/cherry tomates at the grocery that look almost identical, like plastic!
