You guys are a bunch of old women with your digestive problems.
Go eat some of that "make me poo normally" yogurt or something. |

No verdict? No one tackled this beast? I still see the posters up in Penn Station but as a rule, I don't eat ANY-THING cooked in Penn Station. |

I figured TGM would chime in with a review by now.
I was tempted to get one last night. But it was close to 10 pm, and that's a little late to be having that much grease without beer or liquor in my system to soak it up. |

i'll let him speak on it, but he did at least tell me he liked the double down.
I'm going to see if tomorrow is my day to try it if I can get the time at lunch from work. |

You made a new thread instead of a new post. Deleted!

i ate a double down yesterday finally. It was delicious. I shat quite a bit afterward though. The one I had was the fried version, not grilled. I'm pretty sure TGM upped the ante on his by adding mashed potatoes and gravy, which I thought wasn't such a good idea after trying mine as KFC serves it. I will definitely be ordering one of these again. I'm letting everyone know, so they can order enough to keep it on the menu rather than for just a limited time. |

I knew I felt some sort of void in my life over the past two weeks.
I thought they would be bigger, THM thought they would be smaller.
I liked it, though had I driven from Miami to Providence, RI or Omaha, NE like I had been contemplating when these were first being test marketed, I'd have been sorely disappointed.
I added mashed potatoes and honey (honey "sauce" as KFC is required to describe it, since it isn't actually honey...) to mine while THM added baby spinach (she buys a cubic yard of the junk for $0.85 at Costco each week and then spends all week trying to find silly uses for it in order to justify such a ridiculous purchase).
I add honey (or honey sauce) to just about all the fried chicken I eat, so I'm used to it being an up-to-the-elbows kind of meal anyway, but this was exceptionally messy. I don't like eating food out of the little paper pockets that are sometimes provided, but if I was to ever use them, it would probably be for the Double Down.
Solid 7.5/10

I think I might go get one for lunch today. This time I'll know to add a Snacker or two to my order for dessert... |
