Next time I'm in Calgary I'll try them out.
I always thought Peter's Drive In made a good burger.
Here and only here in Regina SK, we have Burger Baron. There was one in Calgary once. Not sure if it is still there though. I recall it was on 17th Ave SE in Forrest lawn but that was many moons ago. |

Had Burger Baron in Chicago - didn't think it tasted too good and got sick, so it's an instant nix.
The In & Out...I like to think there are better burgers, cause everyone is all about the Double Double, but when I want a burger that's where I go too...DD Animal Style.
Many restaurants have good burgers, but none seem to call my name like the DD. |

When I lived in PA, Hardee's had the Monster burger which was AWESOME.
2 patties of greasy beef.
Cheese, bacon, mustard, mayo, ketchup....it may have even had ham on it. |

Miami has a really poor selection of fast food. I recognize the shameful nature of that proclamation though I am not ashamed to say it.
I miss the Monster Burger. Same goes for the Frisco Burger.
For consistency at a drive-thru, my vote goes to either the Baconator or Wendy's Double Cheeseburger. Quibble between the two if you must, but the best fast food burgers are square.
For a weird, between-segment, not quite fast food, but not a regular sit-down restaurant sort of burger, I'd go with either the Steak 'n Shake Frisco Melt or a Five Guys with cheese, bacon, lettuce, chopped onions, ketchup, mayo, and freshly sliced jalapenos.
Sliders are an obviously narrow category, but White Castle beats the ever loving diarrhetic fuck out of Krystal. |

Up here at a local pizza joint, they have the Sasquatch burger. Five 1/4 pound patties with cheese, tomato and bacon. I ordered one once and recalled laughing when the delivery guy came buy with it. The styro container was so heavy it was comical that I was about to put that much ground beef in my stomach.
Those were the good old days when my metabolism was at the speed of light. |

Boogies was started up by Gus Pieters who also started up Peter's Drive in which he sold two years ago. I always prefered CB's Drive in myself—a Calgary skatepunk landmark.
Yes, Burger Baron was on 17th but is gone now.
Now there's all these up scale burger joints popping up—like Lounge Burger, not bad and the waitresses are stingingly hot, but rather pricey.
3 Fat Burgers here now as well—not bad. |
