well my fun trip to new york is over, and let me tell you, it is worth it to go there! There are three amazing parks. One is the autumn bowl (see link above) which i didnt go to but looks really fun, there is this one in manhattan on the west side that has a really cool wooden bowl w/skatelight and pool coping ( http://www.snakeboarder.com/10-20-02Pier26_bowl.jpg ) (the picture doesnt do it justice), then there is the owlshead skatepark, which is all crete and has some really fun lines, especially when you have to get out of the way of the ice patches. beware, the locals enjoy smoking the reefer, so if thats not cool with you, dont go. ( http://www.skatespots.com/ny/owl01s.html and http://www.skatespots.com/ny/owl02s.html (scroll right for bowl view) and http://www.skatespots.com/ny/owl03s.html )

yeah the pool coping was actually slicker than the metal stuff cause of all the wax the locals put on it. I skated it for two hours and wanted more! it is a little far out for you, diego, but if you are ever on this side of the country, you should check it out |
