CONCRETE WAVE INVITES YOU TO BE A PART
OF THE 2010 VANS WARPED TOUR
Concrete Wave Magazine spent twelve days on the Warped Tour this past summer. It was an amazing experience. I saw first-hand the huge reach and impact this tour has. For 2010, we have joined up with the Warped Tour to create a very unique promotion. It not only gives your skate company an immense amount of exposure but it also helps the not-for-profit organizations who are a key component of the tour. The Warped Tour is huge! The total attendance for the 46 shows in 2009 was 644,530 people! The Warped Tour website had 2.6 MILLION unique visitors. 43 shows are planned for 2010.
THE AUDIENCE:
Young Adult Trend Setters, active in their communities, knowledgeable of the world around them who tell people what they like and spread the message
Ages 15-20 account for 81.9% of the Vans Warped Tour Audience
Male: 44.3% Female: 55.7% Average age: 17.4
These are trend setting teenagers and young adults who create the scene and determine what products, activities, looks and sounds will be cool in the upcoming months and years. They are also very supportive of sponsors as they know what keeps the Tour going. Over 60% of them report visiting the sponsor activation sites and non-profit areas.
THE OPPORTUNITY:
Concrete Wave will publish 13,000 copies of a Warped Tour Passport. This passport program was designed to drive traffic to the not-for-profit area. Up to 300 copies will be given out at each show. Attendees will visit a minimum of booths in the not-for-profit area and their passport will be stamped as proof of visitation. The participant will then show the passport and receive a special Warped Tour memento - not available anywhere else. The passport will contain descriptions about some of the not-for-profit organizations along with information about the Warped Tour, Concrete Wave and advertising.
We will be hiring a full-time person to run the promotion for the entire tour. This person is a knowledgeable skater and has done the tour before. He will be on the road for approximately 9 weeks working hard to ensure everything works smoothly.
In addition to having an advertising presence in the passport, this promotion provides you with five other key areas of exposure:
1. your logo on the 10’ x 10’ banner at the Concrete Wave booth
2. an opportunity for our worker to hand out stickers for the ENTIRE tour! We aren’t just giving stickers to passport holders – our aim is to reach as many folks as we can!
3. several posts throughout the summer about the Passport Program on the Warped Tour homepage along with a constant presence (and links to our sponsors) at the not-for-profit part of the Warped Tour website.
4. an opportunity to showcase your product at our booth (Diamond and Platinum sponsorship only)
5. We will be dedicating a full page to all the sponsors of the Warped Tour in our June 2010 issue
YOU PROVIDE THE GOODIES, WE GET YOU THE MASSIVE EXPOSURE!
We will be handling everything from start to finish. All you need to ensure is that you ship stickers to our Oceanside, California warehouse by June 1st. We will replenish items via drop shipments throughout the tour. We’ll also be running contests and collecting a database of names. As a sponsor of this promotion, you will have access to this database.
