not certain of exact year.. but i think its at least 10-15 year old.

i am most likely going to get the new libtech box scratcher 145 & put this into preservation soon.

Naw, I'm down with the stone. I like Luminous Llama & Big youth happening 1 & 2. I was wearing a blue Volcom jacket & riding a Daniel frank & Jeff Anderson was the man.

Just tired of seeing it everywhere. Especially when dudes have tats of the stone. Wow.

yeah exactly..

daniel frank was the man!!!

at that time volcom was a lot more unique but now has gone too mainstream not as out there different anymore eventualy everyone "sells out"

good to see jamie lynn riding on the team though rather than just designing stuff for them.

i also used to like brian thien, bryan iguchi, ect... love the garden video too.

seems like snowboarding was a lot more raw back then and free

now its all rails and huge park jumps... more like a permanent X games comp.

i prefer just cruisin around & riding natural hits.

I can understand that sentiment.

Gigantic kickers that make your knees noodley, rails with 10 kinks & the groms that ask you what your "best trick" is...

Yes, eventually everybody, even the whole sport can sell out.

But then again, have you ever considered yourself "mainstream"?

As long as you do your thing & not care about all the "hype", then you're in a good place.

well i was with jamie in lib team and he was fare to be the worth rider then . and you talk about the 90s period , many stuff happen also in the 80s , and what happen now is just the logic evolution of many sports , we can say the same about sk8boarding and surfing .
yeah when i used to be pro from 87 to 98 it was really fun and pure fun , fare from any $$$ rat race , same vibez like it was in skateboarding ... if you take for exemple the lamar team in early 90s and the salomon team now , for shure we have a total different period. i remember they use to pay us with 100 and 100 of boards to pay plane ticket and contest fees , went to factory and take everything we could to sell and get enought money for the season .

and yeah surfing was much better 30 or 20 years ago , less people in the water and much more virgin spot ....
and yeah skateboarding was more fun , for me at list , bask in the 80s and 90s .
but what can we do , nothing . we can just stay like we was and enjoy the ride like we did all this time .
