Is this the Sims Kamikaze or a true Sims Hosoi (where it actually says "Hosoi" on it)?

That article you saw had some pretty bad estimates on values. Some way too high (like the Kryto Godoy sorry Henrik), and several too low. A mint Hosoi would go over $1000. That board sold like hot cakes, which would make you think that there are a lot available, but great boards (Roskopp 1 for instance) didn't stay on the shelves for years they got thrashed like a good board should. The Hosoi is a major classic. At auction I would expect at least $1,500!

Thanks for the info...that really helps. I was figuring that I would have to pay probably up to $2,000.

I haven't seen one of these in anyone's collection to date (does anyone have one?).

I am guessing between $1500-2500 due to the age, scarcity, and the fact that it is his first pro model.

Check out http://www.skateboardpimp.com Mike has a mint Sims Hosoi. I'd say at least $2000...

Thanks Blair!

Use this address:
http://www.skateboardpimp.com

Otherwise the period at the end throws it off into an ugly installer.

Sweet collection -I always loved that Sims longboard.
