I just cut out a deck at home and want to seal and paint it - nothing special, just want it to be slick and fast.
I have some Minwax Spar Urethane (Gloss) lying around - would this work well for the clear?
Any suggestions are appreciated.

Awhile back I bought some interesting material at a boat mfg supply shop.It was a gel coat primer that you brush on and then sand smooth. It is for sealing fiberglass molds for painting. It's like thick gray primer and sands easily and seals everything. It is heavy but you can really get a shiny surface.Maybe more than what your after and too heavy but smooth.Makes a perfect surface to paint. |

I just sprayed some decks with dupont nason ful cryl enamel. They came out super shiny. One wet coat directly on the deck with no primer does the trick .This stuff is easy to spray and more opaque than lacquer.I think im sticking with this stuff from now on. |
