I'm sure if you didn't mind calling the movie "The Rob Dyrdek Wild Grinders Sk8Face" then he would drop the 180K on it.

Ideally if guys like Dyrdek, who have managed to make fortunes rooted in skateboarding would invest, then we can keep the film skater made.

that video clip was pretty awesome and would be one of the better docs Ive seen for sure but 180k is a lot for editing and Im sure to recoup other costs. Im curious to see where it will be in the last week.

Yes I have interviewed several millionaires and Im thankful to have gotten them but none of them have throw down any cash…yet. But I am trying to get some of them now. We will see…

I have over 60 interviews and 400 hours of footage. It takes months to go through it all and organize. Filming in general just costs money, Ive spent 8k on Digital storage (raid and raid backup) and another 50k (over the last 6 years) on travel, crew (most of which has worked for free on the shoots), 16mm film costs, HD cameras, Lights, Sound, etc…shit just adds up. I personally have shot over 100 days and never made a dime, I did cause its fucking awesome to get to meet those guys and here the stories directly from them and with so many of these icons donating their time to do interviews I owe it to them to finish it.

Thought I would give you guys a heads up and let you know I have cancelled the sk8face kickstarter today. Why? Well we clearly asked for too much money and our awards were also priced too high.

The plan now is to restructure the awards and lower the amount and then relaunch.

If you guys have any suggestions or insights on how to improve the kickstarter or things you would like to see as buy ins- please let me know. We are open to any suggestions

Just like skateboarding, we never give up, we keep trying til we make that trick!!!
