I set up my Barbee last night and went on a street session with it. I've been skating the Hill Ear model exclusively for the last 3 years, so it was a change to go to a board with a bit more concave and a skinnier tail, but I got used to it quickly. I definitely dug the length and the wheelbase, way more stable. This is probably the best modern day old shape I've seen. It's a shame they won't be continually in production. |

got the vallely reject and the death decks in the mail today, best reissues I've seen yet for sure.... nice to see the wood peeking through the stain on the vallely |

I haven't bought one of the Powell reissues before, but I got a Barbee death of ragdoll for curiosity's sake. It's actually a lot better than I expected.
It's not screened like someone else mentioned, but a screened transfer. I guess Powell took a note from Cliver and made the angel silver (like he did with his repros). I may get another to set up. Although the powell reissue has the og top logo, I still prefer the dipped Cliver repro.
Have the Cab chinese dragons been released yet? |
