Its good, but I would not call this mostly one trick edited video the best in skateboarding. Anyway, the hardgood companies must be pissed that the recent good stuff, always ends in the softgood company videos. I wonder, if even the filmers get paid more from the softgood companies? |

There was a show on Fuel the other night about the making of this video. Looked pretty cool. Different anyways. |

not sure what you mean by one trick editing, front blunt to shuvit out on tranny and many other tricks might disagree with you.
Awesome post Freshkid, Jake and Shane get props (RIP Shane)
Haslam goes off, makes me sorry I hassled him at the Maroubra Girl Chocolate demo 2 years ago to skate the bowl but in my defense I did drink 1/2 a case by that stage. least he was cool about it
Haslam has to be in my top 3 favourite current skaters along with Chet and TNT |

Dude always has something negative to say about modern street skating. Calling it freestyle and all that. Shit gets old. |

Very few lines--more just trick/cut/trick/cut/trick... |

Like I said, this is the bleeding edge of skateboarding, so you have to expect trick, trick, trick.
I like lines too, I'd rather watch Busenitz skate street than just about anyone...but you HAVE to give Appleyard and Haslam the respect they deserve...it's mindblowing. |

That's a pretty rad vid.
The mini mega ramp was SICK!!!
Haslam's part was incredible. Right up there w/ what he did in Almost 3. He's definitely my favorite tech skater because he has an infinite bag of tricks and he can skate any terrain.
That's why the David Gonzalez stuff is so boring--all he does is rails and stairs ad nauseum. Haslam rips EVERYTHING. Granted, he's older than Gonzalez, but whatever. Haslam is very entertaining to watch. The music in his clip was pretty cool too, FWIW. |

gamby, yepp.
@CocoMcPuffs
I said the game of skate is like a freestyle contest and, i still see it that way.
Negative about modern street skating? There was nothing modern in the last years.
Glad, skaters like Haslams put the style back in. |

I don't exactly get thrilled watching certain types of skating myself but I'm not ripping on any of it. It's all skating...like it or not.
I started skating in the late 80s. Skating HAS changed. I changed with it AND was able to hold on to some of the old. I like riding what you guys call "popsicles". They're more functional to me. I like to do flip tricks but I can also huck a boneless if the urge hits.
I'm an old man without the old man attitude, i guess. Thank God!
I'll read Concrete Wave AND Transworld.
It's all skating. |
