I've a business trip to Sydney (8/20&21) and Auckland (8/27 & 28 )
Not sure how tied up I'll be with business but if I can break away - any chance I can hook up with a local bro to skate?
Thx |

In Sydney you could always hook up with the MASH crew (Middle Aged Skate Hacks!) - have a look on charliedontskate.com forums for the latest, or register and post your interest there - we'll make you welcome!
In short, Saturday mornings early at the Bondi skatepark, Sunday mornings usually at Dulwich Hill, Wednesday nights are a travelling roadshow around the Sydney parks - some of the lads have lights and generators, so we go hit the unlit parks at night (no grom activity!).
Skateboard.com.au has a park locator with pics etc too - give you a preview of what you may well be skating. |

WHAAATTT?!!? You Aussies have your own scene, skateparks, AND websites too!?? You sure have been quiet about this up to now. Trying to keep some secrets, are we? |

Yeah well if we said something we might end up with hordes of invading foriegners here, and then where would we be?
Aaah besides - we're too far away from you northern hemisphere types anyway....
Oh bugger it - you may as well come visit and enjoy our harsh winters (about 10-20C here, and dont ask me for an F conversion coz I can't help!) |

I am actually going to be in Melbourne also but only for about 1-1/2 days - so I think it'll be too tight to expect to do anything else except business - that's why I didn't mention it
Thanks! |

Go to Maroubra and skate the bowl while in Sydney.
Auckland has a skatepark which is minutes from the airport.
Have fun down under! |

Maroubra is a nice little bowl - but lately some phucktard started a huge bonfire in teh bottom of the deep end - it cracked a bit of the concrete but its basically ok. Local retards also graffiti-ised the buggery out of it, but fortunately the paint ahs now worn down and its not slippery anymore.
Try the Bondi bowl - deep and intimidating (about 13 feet in the deep) with real concrete coping! The rest of the park is fun too - but get there early in the morning to avoid a total gromfest. Invite is still open to come play with the MASHers Saturday morning real early, Dulwich hill on sunday morning! |

That's a shame about the Maroubra park. I really did enjoy my time there.
Too bad I didn't get a chance to skate Bondi. Sound like a good park. |
