Bummer bobcat. Sleestak will be missed.

Here's a proposal: if you want to talk politics, find a political discussion board.

Oh fuck, did I just start a political discussion of political discussions? Shit.

Sorry to hear about this. I will miss the hissing sounds, Chakka, Marshall, Will, Holly, and particularly Dopey. It was no routine expedition, and will surely be missed.

A side note of trivia. What famous NBA player, played the part of a Sleestak during his High School years?

Dam, Bobcat. That sucks. Keep on keepin on. You hosted a great site that I lurked on quite a bit. Hopefully you'll get back in there and do something else again.

Sadly missed... I'm in withdrawal right now. Not as bad as slakjack, but I'm feeling it. I've already accidentally visited it a few times, then gotta say "doh" because it's gone.

Bobcat thanks for fueling the fire. That was a special thing you had going there with Sleestak and I am glad I got to be part of that community, it ruled.
Unfortunately it seems all good things must come to an end it just sucks that it is always because of a couple of fucks that wreck it for the rest of us. I have kind of seen this coming but was still shocked this morning. I have never been homeless but kind of feel that way this morning as I am out surfing the web for a new home. Anyways good luck with your new ventures Bobcat and I am sure you will continue with your tremendous work in another way. Stay in touch.

I truly appreciated having a way of hearing of the latest park openings...definitely lurked. Seemed to be a good pack around there. Too bad it went sour...

Bobcat's decision appears to be based on the fact that the organization that he was instrumental in starting, to help get skateparks built, the PSSA, is continuing on despite his chagrin.

Bobcat decided to pull the plug on the PSSA without taking a vote, without consulting anyone. He locked the PSSA forum, and dumped the PSSA website, to which he owns the domain. Now that the majority of the group is moving on, he feels slighted, I understand because he wasn't invited? That part is not clear to me. But he has singled out two guys who are doing all they can to support more quality parks in the Seattle area, as his enemies.

In essence, the PSSA built up a reputation with Seattle, and the media, and for some personal reason Bobcat decided to just pull the plug and go home with his ball and website...

This has nothing what-so-ever to do with anything we were debating on his political forum. I wish Bobcat the best, and what he did was nothing short of amazing. He organized a bunch of outcasts called skateboarders. And we took on the city and won. Running a website/forum of that magnitude was a huge job, and a thankless one at that. One that I'm sorry to see go.

Sucks. I was a lurker over there too. That's why I don't touch the P section over here. You can't change someone's political views in a 1 to 1 coversation... so trying to argue a point on a forum is futile. I come here to talk shit with a bunch of people I have something in common with. Not to argue politics. Skateboarding is my escape from that stuff.

It was your site, bobcat. You built it out of love and a need to give something back to the skateboarding community. If it ended up causing you nothing but headaches and stress then you did the right thing.

R.I.P.
Sleestak
