I wonder if the guys that ran Elephant Brand skate wrenches back in the day will sue…

yeah I wondered that too !!!
the brand name technically already exists... you can still find them on ebay.

Wishing you all the best of luck with things Mike.. a huge amount of respect and you still skate better than the best... and no body will look back and say that you didnt do everything your own way.

Well well well, I am personally so stoked on the full Elephant catalog!

I don't know how Mike can make the PP Elephant and Barnyard shapes but holy shit - if you've been dying to ride the latter again here it is ready to shred, you don't even have to get protective of the nostalgic graphics!

I think it's a very decent spread of shapes and now although the graphics are derivative of other associated riders and rippers, that's pretty much every deck graphic since 1987!

Not even one deck in the catalog I would personally ride. The Powell Elephant and World Barnyard were nice shapes at the time, but the others are not good at all imo, but it's only a opinion...

the wheelbases are all too short like a lot of other "old school" decks on the market. Getting the shape and width is one thing, but if you want old guys to actually ride them, we need more than a lousy 14.5" or 15" wheelbase.

Bucked the "industry," started Elephant, got a website, posted a video, dropped a website...

I think that was it, yeah?

Agree. It seems like the main problem of companies trying to reach out to the "shape" demographic.

Also what made those decks great were the deep tails and noses.
And nobody seams to care about that.

The one deck I made with super deep concave "hurt" a lot of people arches and I was flooded with complaints... You can't satisfy everyone.
