The ONLY thing I see cool about C&D is that they are screen printed. That's it.

I've actually seen pics of Mike autographing C&D versions of his board and he proudly posts under the pic "signing a bootleg version of the old Barnyard deck".

I dunno. I'm a big Powell fan. You can't really tell somebody to not do something BEFORE it's happened... but I wish they could walk over there with some big guys and intimidate the fuck out of them. Even with the Eastwood graphic, they might not own Clint's image, but they certainly own the rights to that particular drawing, especially if it's on a skateboard using the pro-riders name.

it was one thing when it was lame things with bling and "hot rod" dropped into the graphic. Clever and lame enough that you'd not bother buying one. But these are pure copies that are very tempting to buy and outrageously priced.

i am sure that at the end of the day when mike v. is signing bootlegs, rip offs, and anything else a kid shoves in his face, all that matters is the kid running home and telling all his friends just how cool it was to get his autograph.

unlike glenn danzig, who i have heard will break and destroy your bootleg copies before signing them.
