I learned the following from someone who's closer to the park:
I've heard multiple rumors....
1) A guy named Jay who used to work there a few years ago obtained the rights to the place and was going to open in a few weeks?
2) The Concrete Wave people got the park and were going to take out most of the vert stuff and maybe leave to bowl alone and convert to all street?
I do know that the Concrete Wave owner was looking for a new park in the Bellingham area and to move one of his stores there.
Not sure what is going to happen but it sounds like some thing will be opening up there eventually.
Stay tuned...

Awesome. I need to get up there soon. The bowl looks even slicker now than it was before. I'll be sure to bring my ice skate trucks.
What old skate movie had the scene with Stacy Peralta and some other guys skating on ice skate boards? |

Looks like they completely removed all the big trannies in the far corner, in favor of a bunch of little street obstacles. I wonder why? They spent a lot of time two winters ago re-building that whole corner. Not that I care...I never rode any of it anyway. But, the vert wall was sick. Some of the locals did some crazy stuff on it. Oh well...the bowl looks nice. I'll need to make a trip soon. |
