Thread title says it all. I've got a Faltown Slide deck set up with 62mm Earthwing wheels, Milehighskates Hybrid 215 trucks, and half an inch of riser. However, whenever I do a slide slightly wrong, I get weird wheel bite that can (and has) throw me off. So, I'm wondering what exactly I can do to remedy the wheel bite...I've got some pretty stiff bushings on there already (actually, the hardest bushings I had available). As I mentioned, I've already got half an inch of riser, but I don't really feel comfortable going much higher than that...Would wedging the trucks help at all? Or, is this just a case of HTFU, slide more, and wear the wheels down tiny? |

Go faster, or try 60mm wheels. Wedge risers should help too.
**EDIT** and yes, HTFU would do wonders! |

Wedging will help as the trucks will move more front to back instead of up and down. |

Try Tracker Stimulator or Venom Eliminator bottom bushings. They do wonders for me in my 215s (I'm very very very heavy). They limit wheel bite while still being responsive and turny. Harder duros with a flat washer or softer ones with cupped washers should do you good. |

Hmm...Second recommendation I've gotten regarding stims. I guess I'll give 'em a shot. That's a little less work than wedging the trucks |

You oughta post a pic of both trucks as set up.
I'd bet your getting the bite in the rear.
I wouldn't want anymore riser either. Where's the bite? It looks like wells are only on one end. I'd deepen/expand those and/or create wells on the other end. I had to do that on almost all of my EW decks because I'm not going to run tight, hard bushings and I will not tolerate bite.
Dremmel is your friend!
p.s. I don't like elims either. That's another baggie of shit I need to get rid of. |

Actually, I got it figured out last year.
Got a green Tracker stim on bottom and some yellow Khiro Bitches on top! Works like a charm! I used to run a red Khiro barrel on bottom and a blue Bones Hardcore on top, but the Core baseplates really deepened the turning, which led to my wheel bite.
By the way, 8ft, do you know of any Venom Elims that feel like the old Tracker Stims? Stims are among my favorite bushings of all time. |

Did you put Khiro or Bitch on top? I like me some Bitch bushings!
stims, elims... don't ride either. Got a fat bag in the bushing box but everytime I've tried them, they're just too restrictive. Maybe I'd appreciate them with my hair on fire at 40, 50mph+. |
