| i respect the collections of you guys. You all have some sick stuff. I only collect stuff with imagery that I like for arts sake and not for nostalgia. In that sense I will never be done. I don't mind repro's though. There is only one original I care to own, the Cab street mini in yellow with orange bats. BUT, I can totally understand stopping the collecting since it really will kill your wallets. I've generally lived by one credo in life...money is meant to be spent on memories. I don't mean old memories, I mean spend money on creating new memories. |

I gues you have seen it all bret , $50 - $1,000 for a chicken skull...
I've seen alot of crazy shit over the years here, I remember when everyone want nuts when Mike V's Barnyard decks started hitting $350. I remember getting a Chicken Skull Hawk that had some scuffs for $45 that a friend of mine still skates.
Recently I've seen some of the guys here building there own skate spots in there back yards and that got me thinking. Ive recently tunred 35 and Im super busy so I don't always have 30 minutes extra to drive to a spot. I've have so many decks stuffed into boxes that I never even look at. I figured why not cash them in and turn that cash into a concrete ditch in my back yard. I'd much rather go skate than look a decks hanging on the wall. |
