The font predates the introduction of Santa Cruz or even NHS, for that matter...
....as does the original Duane Peters font that looks like brushstrokes, and was also thought to be original Santa Cruz art.
Both of these are just textbook fonts. |

as I'm sure the Powell Peralta one is. its just hard to find on free font sites.

i think this is why I thought it wasnt a font but drawn by-hand by JP for SC.
