Always willing to help skateboarders!
I learned most of what I know by working & lurking on skate sites.
Also, I'm pretty sure I'll want some advice from you re: a large Virtuemart site, as I'm getting ready to do one for a client. |

Anytime! There are so many code tweaks and other fine tuning things that have to be done when working with Virtuemart. Not much ever seems to work right out of the box. I've learned everything by just jumping in and working it out. The VM forums are also a great help. I'd be glad to share what worked for me and specifically what hasn't. It's open source, it's always a work in progress. I will say this, I couldn't imagine trying to work with anything other than Joomla. CMS is definitely the way to go for me. I also love the fact that when something goes wrong, since I've done all the work myself, I can fix it. I never liked the idea of having someone else do my sites and rely on them to update and fix them. Plus I'm cheap. LOL. |
